Sbrisolona is a sweet typical of the Mantova area, the name comes from the dialect Brisa meaning crumbs. The "Sbrisolona Mantovana" is today consumed all over Italy and produced throughout Lombardy, it is a poor sweet consisting of simple and especially unrefined and crunchy ingredients. Sbrisolona Mantovana, unlike the other pies, is not cut to the knife but is broken with the hands.

Yellow flour, white flour, almonds, sugar, butter, eggs, lemon zest.

HOW IT'S MADE

Sbrisolona is very easy to prepare. A mixture of butter and sugar flour is prepared, this is not crushed but left very coarse. The characteristic of sbrisolona is that of being crude and being cut with hands.

PAIRINGS

Sbrisolona is well-consumed with sweet wines, the famous combination for Sbrisolona remains grappa, better if soft and aromatic.
